GymChatter History

Joey Blue founded GymChatter in the summer of 2006.  Only at that time, it was a website called MyAthletePlace.  The original vision was to create a website that allows athletes from around the world to talk to one another, share their goals, and discuss fitness and athletic performance.

It was quickly realized that this was a crowded arena and that our vision had to be refined.  We refined our vision and put out our second attempt at social networking with TeamedIn.  This website was more focused on an alumni social network for former college athletes.

A few months after our launch, we recognized a group of members with higher than average usage of the website.  After some analysis, we found out that this group was from the same health club!  That moment marked the beginning of our current journey and lead to the launch of GymChatter.com.
